Value Added Consulting serves as an Owner’s Representative in these cases, providing a balanced perspective without a hidden agenda.  Our staff has led alternative delivery procurement projects nationally, as well as locally, including contract operations, Design Build (DB), Construction Manager at Risk, (CM@Risk), and Design Build Operate (DBO).

Since we do not provide design and construction services, we serve in an independent role as your Trusted Advisor facilitating all aspects of alternative project delivery, such as:

  • Development of procurement documents.
  • Proposal evaluation
  • Contract negotiation
  • Oversight of the project during the design/construction phases

We tailor our services to the specific procurement approach during all phases of procurement from strategic procurement consulting, and preparing procurement documents, through evaluation, contract negotiations and commissioning.   Overall, our approach is that risk be assigned to the party that is best able to manage that risk. This requires the development of a risk-based approach to the project. It also requires early recognition of the risks and that development of the project occurs within the context of risk management.
